DUETZ STORIES · ART & CULTURE

Robyn Steffen – Photographer

Photographer, Art Director & Writer

Robyn has been living in Berlin for more than ten years. A city that can be loud, chaotic and sometimes frustrating – but one that still feels like home every time she comes back.

For Robyn, that feeling has a lot to do with the people around her.

Through her work at Cee Cee Berlin, she writes about the people and places that shape the city – from restaurants and newly opened stores to creatives and local personalities. But it is not just about discovering what is new. It is about sharing places she truly believes in.

“Berlin may be a big city, but sometimes it feels like a small village in the best possible way.”

Over the years, her work has connected her with people from Berlin’s food, culture and creative scenes. Familiar faces, spontaneous encounters and conversations at a neighbourhood café are what make the city feel personal to her.

Berlin is not just where Robyn lives. It has become part of the way she sees, works and creates.

Finding Her Own Signature

Alongside her work at Cee Cee Berlin, Robyn works as a photographer and content creator. Whether she is shooting for brands, editorials or weddings, one thing is especially important to her: staying true to herself.

For Robyn, developing your own creative signature takes time. It comes from trusting your perspective and creating work that feels like your own.

“The best compliment is when people recognize my work without seeing my name.”

Analogue photography has become an important part of that signature. Especially in a time shaped by digital content and AI, Robyn is drawn to something more human, tangible and imperfect.

Shooting analogue changes the way she looks at a moment. There is no screen to immediately check the result. Instead, she focuses on what is happening in front of her.

“Analogue photography makes me focus more on the moment and less on the technical side.”

Sometimes, waiting for the scans can be nerve-racking. But it also makes seeing the final images days later even more special.

Real Connections

For Robyn, the people she meets along the way are an important part of what makes her work meaningful. A great collaboration goes beyond the creative result. It is about mutual respect, trust and creating relationships that last beyond a single project.

“What means the most to me is when people choose to work with me again, even years later.”

Especially in the creative world, Robyn values openness and people who encourage and support one another. She believes that the way you connect with others matters just as much as the work you create.

For her, this also means giving time and attention to the people, projects and choices that truly matter – in both her professional and personal life.

“For me, commitment means valuing what matters to you and being there for it.”

Duetz & Character

Robyn’s story reflects what Duetz stands for:

“For me, it’s important that the people around me know that I appreciate them.”

Character. Authenticity. Connection. Staying true to your own perspective. Creating work with a recognizable signature. Valuing the people who accompany you along the way. And finding something meaningful in the moments that might otherwise disappear.

Because every person has their own story. And character is what makes it yours.
